PRICE GRANT

TransAct Hope Inc is submitting an application for the Preservation and Reinvestment Initiative for Community Enhancement (PRICE) funding opportunity through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The PRICE Grant is designed to provide funding for the preservation and revitalization of manufactured housing and eligible manufactured housing communities (MHC). HUD has allocated $235 million in competitive grant funding that will be distributed to approximately 25 awards nationwide. The PRICE grant is divided into two categories, a main competition (PRICE Main) and a replacement pilot (PRICE Replacement Pilot), which are available to local and state governments, nonprofit entities, and multijurisdictional entities. Award announcements are expected in late fall 2024. More information can be found at the grant website.

TransAct Hope Inc is applying to request up 3.17 million in funding for PRICE Main. Proposed activities included in the application would support projects focused on affordable housing preservation by encouraging revitalization and enhancement activities to preserve existing MHCs and manufactured housing units, in addition to housing, education and supportive service activities for existing residents. This supports the Stevens Point Plan’s goal of preserving existing affordable housing.
